Our sunny citrus olive oil and vegan sugar cane scrub has soft-ground sunflower seeds to soften up the sensation of grit just a little bit. Very wakey-wakey, with niaouli, grapefruit, sweet orange, lime, lemon, mandarin and tangerine.
Among our new fragrance releases are Incognito and Book Dust:
Incognito clings to your skin as though it’s part of your aura. A very subtle blend of an amber essential oil bouquet1, honey, cypress, myrrh and frankincense for that royal hiding among the commoners feel. Samples are currently available here.
Book Dust is part of Magickal Realism’s Fancy Pants line. A complicated herbal green, it melds together sassafras, chamomile, dill, lotus absolute, honeysuckle infusion, verbena essential oil bouquet, and natural vanilla extract to create a fragrant impression of an old library. This is one I wear myself, often, when I need a general feeling of comfort.

a new fragrance, Incognito, and a hair care product, Rosemary for Your Hair.
Incognito is a super-subtle skin blend - this is one of those you wear to keep your heady little secret to yourself, not the sort that leaves sillage hovering in the room. Inspired by the harvest goddess Demeter who hid in mortal sight when searching for her daughter Persephone, this fragrance contains notes of frankincense, amber, cypress and coriander. It cleaves to your skin as though it’s almost, but not quite, part of your natural body odor.1
I use this oil on my hair once a week to deep-condition it and to stay ahead of split ends. It is mixed in an avocado or jojoba base (by request) and has in it notes of rosemary, coriander and ylang ylang. I’ve had other people use it report attempts to eat their own hair, which I’m hoping was the result of the smell and not because of need for treatment.
I designed Rub Me All Over for a friend of mine who was really into weight lifting. An essential oil mix of coriander and rosemary, safely diluted in sunflower oil, gives the sense of a slight warmth that allows the muscles to loosen up a bit and release some of that soreness. I use it on the back of my neck and shoulders; my friend liked to use it on his calves and upper arms, to good effect.
This is an introduction to my incinerates, part of a trashion project where I convert household paper into incense. While recycling is always the best think you can do with paper, this is… well… fun. There has been no testing into how this affect air quality or contributes to air pollution: right now I’m operating on “white smoke possibly OK, black smoke SMOTHER.”

Last month I spent a full week up to my elbows in butters and oils that I’m not testing for a series of factors.
Among them, I’m experimenting with all-natural materials that act as preservatives, including neem oil and some organically produced alcohols. I’m also trying to whip up some unusual but simple scents for you layering-lovers who see lotion as the first step to a long process of self-scenting concocotion.
So far, the prognosis on neem as a preservative looks good - my only challenge? Scenting over it, because though it works well, it ain’t pretty.
