Minneapolis at night, amateur
I have no designs upon photography as a career. I still seek out and buy photography for home decor, and I have a profound admiration for the photographer-artist. The photos on this blog that I’ve taken were done with my Canon Powershot; it’s quite decent as far as point-and-shoot cameras go – but it is a point-and-shoot which in some cases leaves me limited options as to how far I can push it.
However, like a typical late adopter, I am only now learning the full extent of the possibilities with my little camera. Also, a read through of Artful Blogging magazine brought me to the concept of the ISO setting – I believe another name for it might be aperture/apature (the vocabulary gets very jumbled at times.) Here, I was experimenting with taking the picture on a very low ISO – longer exposure time.
Something drove by while I was doing that, and this is the result I got. I’m pretty sure a VW bug left the impression in this image it had a jet pack.
