Vine Arts Craft Show December 10, 2008 | 08:01 am

So, I did the Vine Arts Craft show – mainly because I’ve been casting around last minute to do shows once a month. All I’m doing is super small-time – $70 is a bit too high of a table for me most of the time – and usually these small ones are last minute jobs.

The center was actually really nice – it’s in a restored building on 26th Ave south in Seward neighborhood, and it’s a sort of unofficial community center. The building houses art galleries, yoga classes, other arts instructional stuff and they get really active walkthrough during their November art crawls. Walkthrough wasn’t great, but people were friendly. I did make a dufus move and have out a tester for a fragrance I forgot to package; that’s one sale lost, alas.

I prefer doing art shows because they do feel more relaxed than the traditional craft shows I’ve done, and I always get the really interesting questions at art shows. I’m leaning towards doing more of them, as I get to the point where I can afford them.
