Last month I spent a full week up to my elbows in butters and oils that I’m not testing for a series of factors.
Among them, I’m experimenting with all-natural materials that act as preservatives, including neem oil and some organically produced alcohols. I’m also trying to whip up some unusual but simple scents for you layering-lovers who see lotion as the first step to a long process of self-scenting concocotion.
So far, the prognosis on neem as a preservative looks good - my only challenge? Scenting over it, because though it works well, it ain’t pretty.
