Greetings everyone, and welcome to the Magickal Realism Natural Perfumery blogspace. We’ve got ambitious plans here – possibly overambitious – to tell you all about things that smell good, feel good, and are good for you. Some of that talk might be on the dry side; FDA regulations here and why phthalates are bad for you there. We promise, however, to moisturize that with some more fun stuff about shiny objects we find on Etsy, great new fellow artisans in the craft, and of course, tidbits on the process of creating Magickal Realism’s own perfumes. If we can be fun AND useful, so much the better!
We are particularly proud to be premiering this blog for the general public today - it’s our Etsyversary, and marks officially our first year being in business. It’s been one heck of a year. Along with appearing with jeweler Dancing Jems at Minneapolis Gay Pride and making our first ventures into the local arts and consignment scene, the beginning of September was marked with a visit to EtsyLabs for the Etsy Green and Clean Guild trunk show. The trunk show was a great success, and I am eternally indebted to my friends in Brooklyn for their hospitality, air conditioning, and couch after the show.
